I design products that work in the real world — where business goals, user needs, and hard constraints all have to win together.
Lead Product Designer, 9 years across fintech, banking, healthcare, SaaS, e-commerce, and ed-tech. Currently leading UX for a large corporate-banking program at Ungrammary.
I'm Ajinkya — a product designer who takes ownership of the whole problem, not just the screens. The goal on every project is the same: make the business case, the user need, and the real-world constraints all line up in one product that actually ships.
For 9 years I've designed across regulated fintech, B2B SaaS, consumer e-commerce, ed-tech, and healthcare. At Nearby Technologies I joined as the company's first designer and shipped 16 products and 20+ service modules — PayNearby, BuyNearby, LoanNearby — before moving through okoders (staffed onto Builder.ai's global design team) to Ungrammary, where I now lead UX for a large corporate-banking program alongside consumer work like TrueMeds and Wellytics.
I lead the full design cycle — strategy through delivery — and lead a team of designers doing the same. Increasingly, I build coded prototypes with AI so we can run user testing on real interaction — not clickable mocks.
How I work
Understand the system before the screen.
Map the workflows, states, dependencies and constraints first. On Cloud Branch that meant three months of scoping before a single screen — long enough to find that business, operations and technology did not share a definition of what a transaction was. No interface would have survived that gap. The screen is the last thing I design, not the first.
Make decisions visible.
In regulated work the expensive mistakes are the ones nobody saw being made. I use artifacts — state models, service maps, approval diagrams — to put a trade-off in front of Product, Engineering, Operations and Compliance while it is still cheap to argue about. These are also what compliance signs and what engineering builds against, so they are the design output, not documentation of it.
Build reusable structure.
A requirement arrives as one service. I turn it into the pattern underneath it — a state model, an approval architecture, an operational sequence — so the next service is a configuration rather than a redesign. Consistency at component level makes services look alike; consistency at workflow level makes them behave alike, which is what the person using six of them actually experiences.
Lead through collaboration.
Most of the leverage in enterprise design is in the room, not the file. I bring PMs, engineers, operations and stakeholders to one direction — surfacing trade-offs, resolving disagreement, and reviewing the work of the designers I lead so the output holds together across people and modules rather than within one Figma file.
What I do
- 0→1 Product Design
- End-to-end ownership from discovery through shipped UI. Fyn Supply Chain Finance (47 screens, 3 approval roles) and Wellytics were both built from zero.
- Design Systems & Governance
- Currently own standardisation across a 30+ service enterprise product. Restructured the Figma architecture behind it into one source of truth for multiple squads.
- Enterprise, Regulated & Multi-Persona UX
- Where compliance, legacy systems, and approval chains are the binding constraints. Corporate banking, lending, branch operations, healthcare.
- Design Leadership
- Currently leading design across multiple modules. Previously built and led a 7-designer team at okoders and a 3-designer team at TrueMeds.
